Why Study in Brighton?
Brighton,
sometimes also called `London-by-the-Sea` is one of the most
popular and exciting cities in Britain. It has a beautiful,
seaside location, great shopping and varied and wonderful
restaurants. Right in the centre you will find the famous
Royal Pavilion, commissioned by King George IV in 1815. Here
Indian architecture contrasts with interiors with a Chinese
inspiration. It is a both a great place to visit during the
day (a guided tour is a must) and to see illuminated in the
evenings.
Brighton’s cultural life is alive and extremely vibrant
with art galleries and theatres, including the charming Theatre
Royal where many plays are shown before moving to the West
End theatres of London.
In the mid-18th century sea bathing became fashionable and
Brighton was transformed into England`s number one seaside
resort. The Victorian Brighton Pier on the sea front is now
the fun, tourist centre of the city. It provides rides, amusements
and typical English seaside entertainment. It is definitely
not to be missed.
Brighton really is a paradise for shoppers with both modern
and old-fashioned areas. The Laines, a most charming maze
of narrow, cobbled streets was one fishermens` cottages but
is now full of trendy shops, bars and restaurants, Brighton
offers you all this in a wonderful setting and is only 50
minutes from London by train.
